Understanding cat language!

To understand the cat language and to get the cat to understand you,
you must be aware that:

  • Strong perfumes affect the cat's sense of smell just as clear white light reduces our ability to see our surroundings
  • New carpets and furniture affects cats by their scent as much as they influence us by their appearance, and the cat may desire to restore everything to normal by spray their scent on them
  • For cats, staring is counted as an aggressive act. Never stare intense at a cat!
  • Dilated pupils are a sign of fear. Therefore you should retreat quietly and slowly when you see that the cat has dilated pupils
  • Twitching of ears and a swinging tail are signs of anxiety or anger

  • A cat hear our voices very deep, because we use only the lowest notes of the scale, the cat can hear. Use a falsetto voice to capture the cat's attention
  • Take part in the exchange of scents by tickling the cat under the chin, cheeks and at the base of the tail, right where the tail goes into the back
  • When a cat are chattering the teeth, it does not make it to communicate. Cats often do this when it sees something it wants but can not reach, such as a fly high on the wall or a bird on the other side of the window. The cat may simply express their frustration by hacking teeth, just like when we sometimes swear between clenched teeth
  • You could say that our understanding of the cat's way of expressing itself with sound is still in its infancy. The more we study cats, the more we discover that we do not understand much yet. Not only do we have to guess what the sounds that we hear means, we also know very little about how the cat uses its opportunities to use those frequencies that are higher than we can perceive, to express their feelings

I'm sure my cat understands me better than I understand him! Nice hub!

lejonkung: Your pictures are adorable: the kitten lying back down is expressing bliss and confidence in surroundings by exposing the vulnerable stomach. Your explanations are well done and supported by examples.

Thank you, voted up and everything else too,

Derdriu
